Mahindra Pik Up Servicing: What You Need and When
Keeping a Mahindra Pik Up serviced properly is the single biggest thing you can do for its reliability and resale β and with the right parts on hand, plenty of it is well within reach of a competent home mechanic. Here's a practical guide to what your Pik Up needs and when.
Service intervals
As a general rule, plan on an engine oil and filter change every 10,000km or 12 months, whichever comes first, with fuel and air filters on a similar or slightly longer cycle depending on how dusty your conditions are. If you tow, work the ute hard, or spend time on dirt roads, err on the shorter side β clean filters and fresh oil are cheap compared to engine wear. Always check your owner's handbook for the exact schedule for your model year.
Filters: matching the kit to your model
The right service filter kit depends on your model and transmission. We've put together genuine kits so you're not chasing individual part numbers:
- Manual S6/S10, 2007β2016 β genuine oil, fuel and air filters for the earlier 2.5L and 2.2L manual utes.
- Manual S6/S10, 2018β2022 β genuine filters plus sump plug washer, with an optional pollen filter.
- Automatic S11 β the correct genuine kit for the auto, with an optional pollen filter for cabin air quality.
Sticking with genuine Mahindra filters matters here β correct fitment and sealing protect the engine far better than a generic filter that merely looks close.
Belts
The serpentine drive belt is a wear item worth staying ahead of. Rather than hunt down the right belt at your local auto store, our genuine serpentine fan belt kit (primary and secondary) is matched to the 2.2L Pik Up from 2012 onward, so you know it fits.
Brakes
Don't muck around with worn brakes. If your pads are getting noisy or low on material, replace them promptly. For the S6/S10/S11 from 2018, our front brake pad and rotor kit covers both sides in one go, with the ABS toner ring built into the rotors for a clean install.
Wear items worth keeping on hand
Beyond routine servicing, a few components are known wear points on the Pik Up. Keeping spares on the shelf means you're never stranded waiting on parts:
- Front ball joints β a common suspension wear item across the range.
- Propshaft centre bearing β replace it at the first sign of driveline vibration.
- Wheel speed sensors β an inexpensive spare that saves an ABS-warning headache.
Genuine vs generic
It's tempting to save a few dollars on aftermarket parts, but on a vehicle with a smaller parts network than the mainstream brands, genuine components with guaranteed fitment save you time, comebacks and grief. Our team has decades of combined Mahindra experience, so if you're unsure which part suits your build or model year, get in touch before you order.
You'll find everything you need in our Mahindra Pik Up spare parts collection β genuine parts, stocked in Australia, without the dealership markup.
